What do we mean by “elevate your morning”?

What do we mean by “elevate your morning”?

We believe in the health promoting properties of coffee and know that what you put in your coffee is just as important as where your coffee comes from to receive the full health promoting benefits it offers. Building on the foundation of the forgotten, but now known butter coffee, popularized as “Bullet Proof” coffee, Higher Realms has crafted an improved version we like to call “Elevated Coffee”.

How Do You Elevate Your Coffee?

Making Elevated coffee is just as simple and easy as making Bullet Proof coffee, just with a few different ingredients. Those ingredients include Grass-fed Butter, Organic Ceylon Cinnamon, Bovine Colostrum, Organic Raw Unfiltered Honey, and of course Higher Realms fresh roasted coffee.

“Why are we using these ingredients?” I hear you ask. We’ll first I’ll leave you with the recipe and directions to make “Elevated Coffee” and then go into detail about each of the ingredients and you’ll begin to understand what makes our version so elevated above the rest.

Elevated Coffee Ingredients

  • 12oz to 16oz of Higher Realms coffee
  • 1 tablespoon of Grass-fed butter
  • 1 tablespoon of Ceylon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of Raw unfiltered honey (can be skipped or substituted)
  • 1 tablespoon of Bovine colostrum (we recommend Surthrival colostrum)

Directions

Measure out coffee grounds to brew and mix 1/2 a tablespoon of the Ceylon cinnamon into the grounds. Add hot water and brew for appropriate time of chosen brewing method. While the coffee is brewing, add 1 tablespoon of Gras-fed butter, 1/2 tablespoon of Ceylon cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 heaping tablespoon of Bovine colostrum into a blender. Once the coffee is done brewing, go ahead and pour it into the blender. Blend the ingredients together on high for 30 to 40 seconds, no more than 60. Pour the mixture into your favorite mug or to-go cup and enjoy!

If you’ve never had Elevated Coffee before, be prepared to begin feeling lifted with the very first sip.

What’s So Special About The Ingredients?

Gras-fed Butter

Butter is often dismissed as a universally unhealthy ingredient. After all, butter of all varieties is high in fat because it’s made of milk fat. However, there’s more to this common kitchen ingredient than its fat content.

Grass-fed butter in particular offers health benefits to counteract the health risks it poses. It's a rich source of energy, vitamins, and minerals and has lower levels of saturated fats and more unsaturated fats than standard butter, for example. This is because grass-fed butter is made from the milk of cows that are allowed to graze instead of being fed high-grain GMO diets. Studies show that consuming grass-fed butter in moderation has more benefits and fewer risks than consuming standard butter.

Grass-fed butter is a rich source of:

  • Vitamin K
  • Omega-3 fatty acids
  • Conjugated linoleic acid
  • Butyrate
  • Saturated fats

Grass-fed butter is a great source of bioavailable Vitamin A. This vitamin has been connected to a lower risk of conditions like cataracts, diarrhea, measles, and breast cancer.

Research has found a number of potential health benefits to eating butter

Better Digestive Health

Butter is rich in many types of fat, including butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid that has been studied for its health benefits. One important benefit of butyrate is its potential effect on your digestive health. Studies suggest that consuming foods rich in butyrate can help fuel the “good bacteria” that live in your intestines. It also appears to help relieve intestinal inflammation, which can cause symptoms like stomach pain, bloating, or irregular bowel movements.

Improved Insulin Sensitivity

Butyric acid may have another important benefit. While more studies need to be conducted, early trials suggest that consuming butyric acid can help boost energy use and improve insulin sensitivity. For people with diabetes, this may mean that regularly eating small amounts of grass-fed butter could help them manage their blood glucose levels more effectively.

May Reduce Inflammation

Finally, grass-fed butter is a good source of a nutrient called conjugated linoleic acid. This is a compound that’s currently being studied for its effects on the immune system and inflammatory response. Early trials suggest that consuming enough conjugated linoleic acid may help reduce chronic inflammation and associated decreases in immune function. Grass-fed butter has been shown to have up to 500% more conjugated linoleic acid than standard butter.

Ceylon Cinnamon

Ceylon cinnamon comes from the bark of cinnamon trees, which are small evergreens found in Sri Lanka and much of Southeast Asia. The bark is dried and can be ground or used in stick form to add sweetness and warmth to a wide variety of foods. Ceylon cinnamon also offers some impressive health benefits.

The vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in Ceylon cinnamon provide significant health benefits. For example, cinnamon is full of beta-carotene, which is part of the reason for its rich brown color. The carotene family of pigments acts as important provitamins since they can be converted into vitamin A. This vitamin is an important part of keeping your eyes healthy.

Other health benefits of Ceylon cinnamon include

Reduced Inflammation

Ceylon cinnamon's active ingredient, cinnamaldehyde, may have anti-inflammatory properties. Cinnamaldehyde has been shown to reduce the inflammatory response in the body, leading to fewer negative symptoms. Inflammation is linked to chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis. Ceylon cinnamon may be able to reduce symptoms of these conditions.

May Reduce Cholesterol Levels

Early studies done with cinnamon have shown that it can help reduce your cholesterol levels. "Bad" LDL cholesterol is connected to problems like heart disease, as are high cholesterol levels overall. Cinnamon appears to help lower LDL and overall cholesterol levels without affecting "good" HDL cholesterol significantly.

Improves Insulin Response

Finally, cinnamon also seems to have benefits for people with insulin resistance or diabetes. Studies show that regularly consuming cinnamon can help your body's natural response to insulin. This can help your body moderate its blood sugar levels more effectively and reduce your risk of hypo- or hyperglycemia incidents.

Ceylon cinnamon is full of antioxidants, which help your body handle free radicals and lowers your risk of health conditions like cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.

Ceylon cinnamon is also rich in the mineral manganese. This mineral helps your body manage the enzymes that produce hormones and help repair your bones. Manganese also works as an antioxidant as part of the enzyme manganese superoxide dismutase, protecting your body from free radicals.

Ceylon cinnamon is also an excellent source of:

  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin K
  • Potassium
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Cinnamaldehyde

All types of cinnamon contain a compound known as coumarin, which is known to be harmful in large amounts. Ceylon cinnamon has much less coumarin than cassia cinnamon. If you are concerned about coumarin, Ceylon cinnamon is a safer option for your spice rack.

Bovine Colostrum

Perhaps the world’s most functional food, Colostrum – Immune Milk – has been researched in over 4000 studies and proven to have powerful Regenerative, Adaptogenic, and Immuno-Modulating properties.

Colostrum is the “immune milk” produced by all mammals for only the first few hours before and after birth. Supercharged with 97 immune factors and 87 growth factors, bovine Colostrum is nature’s “first food”. Its adaptogenic properties have been known to enhance rejuvenation and regeneration while strengthening the immune system, allowing your body to thrive under any circumstance.

Widely known for its potent anti-aging benefits and broad spectrum probiotics in their whole food forms, bovine Colostrum supports good digestion and is extremely dense in nutrition, helping to support your health and longevity strategy.

Colostrinin, also known as Proline-Rich Polypeptides (PRP), is derived from bovine colostrum and have been shown to be effective in the treatment of many health conditions, most notably neuro-degenerative conditions (such as Alzheimer’s), viral infections, auto-immune conditions, asthma, and allergic conditions.

PRP has been noted for its geno-protective properties, being anti-mutigenic, and reducing the rate of mutation in cells exposed to UVA, UVB, and other oxidative stresses.

While many studies have been performed using isolated PRP’s, it is our belief that nutrients are always more effective when used in their whole-food form, as found in nature, and when synergistically supported by the rich matrix of nutrients they are found within.

While Colostrinin represents a near miracle nutrient, it is just one class of nutrients found in bovine colostrum.

Organic Raw Unfiltered Honey

It’s Rich in Antioxidants

Everyone knows that honey is delicious. However, fewer people know that this syrup contains potent antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. The natural sweetness and health properties of raw, unfiltered honey make it a must-have ingredient for any crafted morning brew.

It Promotes Anti-Inflammatory Healing

Raw, unfiltered honey also contains anti-inflammatory properties. Its traces of natural hydrogen peroxide help it kill off surface-level bacteria and viruses as the honey itself keeps inflamed areas sealed with its moist and gooey texture. This naturally occurring benefit has led people to use raw honey on burns and other wounds for centuries.

It’s Antibacterial and Antifungal

Raw, unfiltered honey is also antibacterial and antifungal. For centuries, people have used honey to improve their health. Honey kills off bacteria and fungi and has an abundance of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

Higher Realms Fresh Roasted Coffee

Coffee is the second-most popular drink after water. You will find that most people cannot function without taking a cup of coffee in the morning. However, conventional coffee contains many chemicals, and long-term consumption can cause harmful effects in your body, such as irritable skin, headaches, and some people even have allergic reactions.

Studies show that pesticide residue in coffee can increase the likelihood of Parkinson’s disease, anxiety, depression, and even miscarriage in pregnant women. To prevent these debilitating conditions from affecting you or your family, you should consume clean Higher Realms fresh roasted coffee.

What Are The Benefits Of Drinking Higher Realms Fresh Roasted Coffee?

A Source of Antioxidants

Higher Realms coffee is rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants protect your body and cells from radicals, which can cause cancer and heart disease. Studies show that you can get more antioxidants in coffee than fruits and vegetables, making coffee truthfully one of the world’s healthiest hot (or cold) beverages, second to water.

Helps Fight Depression

Depression is a severe mental issue that can cause suicide, and studies show that about 4.1% of people in the United States suffer from clinical depression.

However, a 2011 study conducted by Harvard revealed that women who took more than four cups of coffee daily have a considerably lower risk of being depressed. This is because when you drink coffee, it stimulates your central nervous system by elevating serotonin and dopamine. These hormones boost your mood; making coffee a good anti-depressant.

Another study conducted on 208,424 people showed that those who drank more than 4 cups of coffee each day were 53% less likely to die by suicide. The energy provided by coffee helps in fighting the lethargic symptoms of depression.

It also helps open up and converse with other people, which is a good sign because depressed people isolate themselves. Therefore, if you feel down, take a cup of coffee, don’t drink several cups continuously; instead, disperse them throughout your day.

Improves Your Memory

At one point in our lives, we find that the rate of forgetfulness increases. This memory loss may be due to having many responsibilities or old age. A recent study suggests that coffee is a good memory booster. It is common knowledge that coffee has cognitive-enhancing effects.

A recent study by John Hopkins University shows that coffee can enhance long-term memory. Although coffee has many benefits, it’s still best that you do not over-consume. Enjoy your cup of Higher Grounds fresh roasted coffee at any time of the day to help you enhance your memory.

Improves Physical Performance

Coffee stimulates your central nervous system, signaling your body to burn calories. It also increases the level of adrenaline (the fight or flight hormone) in your body. This hormone is responsible for preparing your body for intense physical exercise.

You can take coffee before a workout as it helps burn fat and give you the energy to exercise for more extended periods without getting tired. In addition, it helps convert fats to body fuel, thus helping you keep fit. Therefore, drink a strong cup of Higher Grounds Coffee 30 minutes before your gym sessions to get the most out of your exercise.

It Helps You Burn Fat

If you check, you will find caffeine in every commercial fat-burning supplement. Coffee is one of the few natural components that help burn fat in the human body.

Studies show that coffee helps in boosting your metabolic rate by about 3-11%. A study was conducted on ten lean and ten obese women, and it showed that lipid oxidation increased by 29% in slender women and 10% in obese women.

Lowers The Risks of Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative disorder that affects the central nervous system, affecting millions globally. However, modern science is bringing a ray of hope to people and families suffering from this disease.

There is the introduction of new drug therapies and changes in lifestyle habits that can help manage the symptoms of this disease.

A study published in Wiley Online Library shows that organic coffee has a slight positive effect on treating and preventing this disease. So how does caffeine prevent the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease? It acts by inhibiting the damaged cells in the brain, which create the shakes and tremors associated with the disease.

And the antioxidants help repair these cells. Keep in mind only organic coffee because non-organic coffee contributes to the disease.

Improves Heart Health

Lifestyle habit change can help lower the risk of stroke. Better for you, coffee can also reduce the chances of stroke.

The Division of Nutritional Epidemiology in Stockholm, Sweden, conducted a study that tracked people’s coffee-drinking habits over 20 years. They found a lower risk of stroke for people, especially women who drank more than two cups of coffee per day.

Protects You Against Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s is a neurodegenerative disease and also the leading cause of dementia in the world. This disease primarily affects people above the age of 65, and it does not have a cure.

But, there are several things you can do to prevent the disease from affecting you. This preventive action includes changing your lifestyle habits, such as eating healthy, exercising, yoga, and meditating. It is also said that coffee can help prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

A study published in Wiley Online Library shows that coffee can help protect people from Alzheimer’s disease. It is reported that coffee drinkers have a 65% lower chance of developing AD.

In addition, a study conducted by Krembil Brain Institute shows that coffee has a compound known as phenylindanes produced when coffee is roasted. This compound helps reduce the clumping of proteins in the brain, the primary cause of AD.

Make sure to pick a clean coffee like Higher Realms because conventional coffee increases the chances of developing the diseases due to the chemicals therein.
